Smyth County Schools will dismiss 2 hours early on December 19, 2025

All Smyth County Schools and Offices will be closed from Monday, December 22, 2025, through Friday, January 2, 2026.
Offices will reopen and teachers will return for a workday on Monday, January 5, 2026.
Schools will reopen and students will return to school on Tuesday, January 6, 2026.

Veterans' Day Assembly

We will have a Veterans' Day Assembly on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at 10:00 am. We invite all veterans who are family members of a Sugar Grove Elementary school student or staff to attend.

Red Ribbon Week is a national celebration to focus on encouraging students to make healthy, safe choices every day. This week is our chance to proudly show that we are committed to being drug-free, respectful, and bully-free! We encourage all students to participate in our daily activities and to pledge to live a happy, healthy life and be kind to everyone.
